 Field Trials

Our field trials are conducted to evaluate plant genetic resources under local environmental conditions, assessing their performance, adaptability, and resilience. We monitor key traits such as growth, yield, phenology, and resistance to pests, diseases, and climatic stress. The data collected supports the characterization and selection of valuable material, contributing to conservation efforts, scientific research, and the development of improved and sustainable crop varieties.

Data Analysis

Our laboratory at the genebank provides specialized services focused on the conservation, analysis, and improvement of plant genetic resources. We carry out seed testing, germination analysis, and viability assessments to ensure long-term preservation. In addition, we support research through plant characterization, documentation, and data management. Our work contributes to safeguarding biodiversity and supporting sustainable agriculture for future generations.

Community Outreach

Our community outreach programs aim to raise awareness about the importance of plant genetic resources and biodiversity. We engage with farmers, students, and the public through workshops, training sessions, and educational activities, promoting the sustainable use and conservation of plant diversity. These initiatives strengthen local knowledge, encourage collaboration, and foster a deeper connection between communities and the work of the genebank.
